Breakfast Club

At our Breakfast Club we aim to provide a safe and secure environment, offering a range of activities and morning exercise so that the children can have a positive start to their school day.
Our focus is on child-led activities with lots of fun resources on offer, such as construction and art and crafts. Children will have the option to join in with outdoor exercise such as games and dancing so your child has access to an energetic and fun start to their day!
Our Breakfast Club has a healthy and active approach. We encourage children to join in with healthy exercise at our Breakfast Club, but calm activities such as art and craft will be available.
We provide several breakfast, snack and drink options at our Breakfast Club, such as toast, cereal, yoghurt and fruit. Children are encouraged to drink water but we will also have squash and milk available. We also hold the occasional “different” breakfast day, such as beans on toast or bagels!
We will always cater for vegetarians/vegans but please notify us of any dietary requirements your child has on your registration form.
We use fresh ingredients and follow statutory guidelines. Fresh drinking water is available at all times. We meet individual dietary requirements and parental preferences wherever possible. We recognise the importance of healthy nutrition for children delivered in a calm, friendly setting.

Can older children attend by walking to the club alone?
KS1 (Years R – 2): we ask all parents to walk their child to the Tobin Centre, and ensure a member of Breakfast Club staff has acknowledged the child’s arrival before leaving.
KS2 (Years 3 – 6): we encourage parents to walk their child to the Tobin Centre, but if you are comfortable that your KS2 child will responsibly walk from the main gate up to the Tobin Centre, they can walk up to the club alone.
Please use the paths once inside the school to access the Tobin Centre rather than walking across the grass as these areas are often slippery and muddy.
