    Roadworks - Message from BHCC Transport Team
    Dear Parents and Carers Please see message below from Brighton and Hove Transport Team: "Work is scheduled to begin on Monday 1st September to redesign the junction of Dyke Road and Upper North Street and is scheduled to last 10 weeks. The work includes the removal of the traffic lights, replacing them with a new ‘T’ junction. We are also replacing the signalised pedestrian crossings with central islands and a zebra crossing on Upper North Street. We carried out a consultation for this project last summer which received 64 responses. Most supported the proposed changes. Concerns were raised about speeding and crossing the road. This led to us altering the design to include a zebra crossing on Upper North Street and a vehicle activated speed sign. Roads will be kept open for the majority of the work. When central islands are being installed at the end of the project, there will be overnight road closures in place. Further details on this will be confirmed closer to the time but access to properties will still be provided. If you have any questions regarding the project, please don’t hesitate to contact transport.projects@brighton-hove.gov.uk.     Welcome Back Tomorrow 05.09.25
    Dear Parents and Carers, We hope you have all had a lovely summer break and enjoyed some special family time. We are very excited to welcome the children back to school tomorrow, Friday 5th September, and are looking forward to a fantastic year ahead. Please remember that the school gates open at 8:40am and close promptly at 8:55am. Children should come in full school uniform, ready for a positive start to the new term.     Dear Parents and Carers, Please find attached the final newsletter of this academic year!! Also included are this week’s Wednesday Word, Clarks shoe info, details of external holiday clubs, and the school calendar for 2025–2026. A reminder that children return to school on Friday, 5th September 2025. If your child is eligible for free school meals, they may also qualify for a place at a HAF (Holiday Activities and Food) summer club.
