Giving Tree 2017-18

giving tree stb(1)

As Jesus taught to love one another and showed how he helped people in need, we have created our 'Giving Tree'. This is a reminder, in our school hall, of all the ways we have helped people in our local and wider communities.

It also acts as a constant reminder to keep helping others who are not as fortunate as ourselves and to keep living out our Mission Statement.

We actively...

'...live the Gospels'
'...reach out to all people'
'...seek to be caring and compassionate'
'...show care and respect for ourselves and others'

'My children our love is not to be just words or mere talk, but something real and active; only by this can we be certain that we are the children of the truth'

1 John 3:18-19

Who have we helped this year?

A BIG 'Thank You'....

The Book Bus is most grateful to all staff and students at St Bernadette's Catholic Primary School for supporting the Book Bus by kindly donating £178.87 to the charity.
The Book Bus relies on the generosity of supporters like you to keep our wheels turning so that we can deliver books to the children who really need them. The funds you have raised will help maintain our projects in Zambia and Malawi where our Book Bus service is reaching more than 5,000 children. Over the past two years in Zambia we have built and stocked two new libraries in Livingstone, and delivered a new Book Bus (Book Bus “Sophie”) to our project in Kitwe. 2018 is another exciting year for the Book Bus, we are starting our new campaign called “I am a Reader” which aims to create 10,000 new child readers in Zambia and Malawi by 2020
We hope that you will stay in touch and follow the Book Bus through our website, facebook and twitter pages. Meanwhile, thanks again for your generous support and we look forward to updating you with our progress later in the year.
