Competition & Challenge

St Bernadette's Mission Statement says that...

"...we celebrate our successes"
"We embrace challenge and opportunity to
achieve our best in all that we do"

To help us promote these ideas Autumn 2014 saw the launch of St Bernadette's first school-wide and year-long competition.

We are going to be combining PC Groups to make brand new 'House Teams'. Throughout the year children will be able to earn points for their House Team in order to win the 'Competition Cup' at the end of the year.

The houses have been named after some of the bigger trees we have in our school grounds. In a way these trees have met the challenges of nature and grown to meet their full potential. They are an important part of our school environment.

All children in the school will have the opportunity throughout the year to take part in competitions, both in and out of school. They can also gain points by demonstrating in their work and daily activities that they have challenged themselves.

In our launch assembly on Tuesday we discussed how important challenging ourselves is. Challenge, doing our very best, accepting defeat and trying again are all crucial to being the best learners which is what we strive to be at St Bernadette's!
